The only negative would be the multiple confederate flags some campers are flying - but hey, it's southern Virginia, what can you expect?

Good trails, though a smaller park. Explored almost all of it in 3 days of morning walks. Nice that docks are available. Actually was shorter for us to come by boat than car.

Beautiful park! Best "cabins" I have ever seen. public boat docs available. We like to boat our bikes over there and ride around in the fall.

Such a beautiful place. So many activities to do. I really enjoyed being there after "the season". We pretty much had the whole area to ourselves. The trails were great and the water still felt amazing. I will definitely be coming back to explore more.

Absolutely fantastic campground! Clean bathrooms and showers. Campsites are well sized for RVs and tents. Great for families. Camp host has wood bundles ($4) and ice bags ($2) for sale right in the campground. Super convenient!

A beautiful getaway for those comfortable with nature and the ability of letting go of your digital self. The scenery is breathtaking, with plenty of hiking around the lake. The views on these trails are some of the most gorgeous I've ever seen; I think most people will love them too. But again, T-Mobile is spotty at best, and there is very little coverage for Verizon or AT&T. So while there is not much else to do, the lake, the trails, the local country markets can fill up your time if you let them. PLEASE LET THEM!
