After renting a place from this company one year and trying to rent it again the very next year, the inconsistencies are astonishing! Their billing is way off by throwing in extra fees/taxes, over priced, charges tax on EVERY line item, does not respond to emergencies in a timely manner (responds a day later after an emergency), slow response just to reserve a place. Their cleaning fees are a joke because the place really isn't that clean to begin with. We left it in better condition when we left than what it was when we arrived! It took me over a month to get a response back for a reservation inquiry until I just did it through their web site. The staff just doesn't understand how to provide good, consistant customer service and no one knows how to bill correctly. This place is a RIP OFF! Don't waste your money! Go somewhere else!!! Oh and the grill we had at Wagon Wheels was horrible (could not use it because it was rusted and busted up so bad).

We found the total opposite of the other reviewer. The property manager called us promptly when there was an issue with the refrigerator and she offered to refund part of our money when we had difficulty with the washing machine. I agree that I prefer to be able to speak to someone (customer service) but reserving the house online was easy and check-in was a breeze! We would recommend SML Vacation Rentals to anyone looking to visit the lake and needing a place to stay - the staff will even offer linens, if needed. Naturally, the linens were extra but we came prepared to stay at a hotel on the lake only to find that there are few available. Renting a home is the way to go at the lake and I would highly recommend calling SMLVR and speaking to the property manager to find a house that will suit your needs! Just remember this, a bad day on the lake is better than a good day at work!
